Pearl Jam Tribute Live at Garbos

Pearl Jem are a 100% Irish tribute to the greatest band on the planet. As Pearl Jam fans first and foremost, we have taken a great amount of time and effort to ensure that our show is nothing but a marker of love and respect to the source material. The energy from a crowd is vital to the effect of the live show, and without our fellow Pearl Jam fans we would just be 5 guys in a room playing

Whiplash - Metallica Tribute Band Live at Garbos March 12th 2016

Whiplash

Whiplash are a Metallica Tribute Band from Galway and consists of:

Martyn Weesjes - Vocals/Rhythm Guitar
John Cullen - Lead Guitar
Keith Hughes - Bass Guitar
Brendan Kenny - Drums

Whiplash was created in the late 90's by John Cullen, Martyn Weesjes and former members Martin Delaney and Damien Lyons.

Due to us all loving the music of Metallica we decided to become a Metallica Tribute band and our gigging kicked off in 1999.
The band was put on hold for a few years from 2008 to 2012.
But now we have a solid line-up with original members Martyn Weesjes continuing on Rhythm Guitar and taking on Vocals and John Cullen continuing on Lead guitar, Keith Hughes (a previous member) re-joined the band on Bass guitar and Brendan Kenny has joined the band as Drummer.

Whiplash are one of Galway's best known Metal Bands and we have played in local pubs, nightclubs and biker festivals in and around Galway with Sally Longs being a regular spot for us since the beginning.

We play a solid old school Metallica set list from Kill Em All to The Black Album as this is the Metallica era that we love and is Metallica at it's best. Also, this year (2014) is the "Ride The Lightning" album's 30th anniversary,
So we are playing the whole album from start to finish within or set.
And we play it like it should be played: fast, heavy and loud.
